Mineral Class:Tectosilicates. It belongs to the Zeolite group. Chemical Composition: Hydrated calcium and sodium aluminosilicate. Its green color is typically due to inclusions or impregnations of iron-rich clay minerals, or traces of other chromophore elements. Well-crystallized specimens, with a defined green color and still associated with the original matrix, are considered to be of high rarity in the collectible market, valued for their aesthetics and geological context. Occurrence & Location: This specimen was found in India, more precisely in the Deccan Traps province, one of the most classic and prolific occurrences for zeolites in the world, where they form in basalt cavities. Rock Composition: The matrix is composed of altered mafic volcanic rock (basalt), rich in other zeolitic minerals such as stilbite and apophyllite, in addition to minerals from the original basaltic matrix. Rock Formation: Heulandite It is a secondary mineral, formed by the process of zeolitization. This process occurs during the final stage of solidification and hydrothermal alteration of basaltic lava flows. Hot meteoric or hydrothermal waters, rich in dissolved ions, circulate through the vacuoles and fractures of the basalt. These waters alter the primary minerals of the rock (such as feldspars and volcanic glass), leaching silica, alumina, and alkalis, which subsequently recombine to precipitate, under low-temperature conditions, as zeolitic minerals in the rock cavities. Heulandite crystallizes in these cavities, coating their walls or filling fissures. Damages and issues

Refunds
